Marketing Liverpool joined up with Visit Britain and Marketing Manchester to help deliver a comprehensive familiarisation visit for Indian tour operators, agents and press.
The visit was in preparation for the launch of the new Mumbai to Manchester air service with Jet Airways on 5th November.
As part of the northern itinerary the group of 29 spent an action packed 24 hours in Liverpool visiting Liverpool Cathedral, Beatles Story, Maritime Museum and Cavern Club.
Nine city hotels provided the accommodation and an Indian themed dinner was held at Hard Days Night Hotel with a fish and chip lunch at Maritime Dining Rooms.
Reaction has been extremely positive and we see this developing market as one to watch for the future. Marketing Liverpool will be investing in further activity in this market over the next year.
