Sophie Shields is Marketing Liverpool’s new Digital Marketing Assistant. Joining us in November 2018, Sophie works across our digital channels helping to promote Liverpool to an international audience!
We catch up with Sophie to find out a little more about her and her role…
You’ve only been in your role a couple of weeks, how has it been so far?
It’s been really interesting, I have learned a lot already and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in now. Everyone has also been really helpful and accommodating too!
What exciting things have you been working on so far?
I’ve created a blog for the VisitLiverpool site about all the best vegan friendly places in Liverpool, which was interesting! With Christmas coming up there is loads of exciting things going on, so I’m sure I’ll be busy.
What do you love most about your role within Marketing Liverpool?
I love getting to promote Liverpool everyday, it’s the best city in the world so getting to shout about it all the time is amazing.
Is there anything in particular you are looking forward to in 2019?
I’m looking forward to what the music scene will bring in 2019, with the gigs at Anfield to Sound City and the grass roots venues, it doesn’t get better than live music in Liverpool.
Finally, what is the one thing you love most about Liverpool?
It has to be the music scene, I’m always spoilt for choice with gigs to go to in the city and it’s only going to get better!
