This week we hosted another successful familiarisation trip from the rapidly growing Indian market.
Four leading Destination Management Companies from the Mumbai and New Delhi area were here as part of a Northern tour to increase their knowledge of the city and see first-hand the quality of our ever growing tourism product.
The trip focussed around Liverpool’s Music and Cultural heritage, with an exclusive tour of the new Hope Street Hotel development and a delicious Indian buffet at the Hard Days Night Hotel. The group also visited Titanic Hotel, StayCity, Beatles Story, British Music Experience, Liverpool Cathedral and Cavern Club.
Marketing Liverpool sees India as a key market for the future, with the number of visits to the UK now over 500,000 a year and average spend per visitor increasing by nearly 20% in 2018.
