Team Liverpool virtually attended The Meetings Show on Monday 19th – Wednesday 21st October.
This is a platform in the UK for the events, meetings and incentives industry to come together to source, learn and network. Launched in 2013, the show normally welcomes exhibitors from the UK and around the world including hotels, luxury hotels, destinations, destination management companies, conference centres, venues and technology suppliers.
This year was like no other year and TMS developed a virtual event to keep business meetings and events professionals connected and informed, wherever they were in the world. It was an opportunity to bring the events, meetings and incentives community back together but in a safe environment, enabling buyers to still access education, book appointments and make connections with exhibitors.
Team Liverpool exhibited as partners of the Liverpool Convention Bureau virtual stand, partners included the ACC Liverpool, Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Football Club, National Museums Liverpool, Hilton Liverpool City Centre and Titanic Hotel Liverpool. Over the three days of the show we had a schedule of one to one appointments where we met with both international and domestic event planners to showcase Liverpool City Region and discuss their event enquiries for 2021 and beyond. It was lovely for the team to have the opportunity to network with colleagues and make new connections within the industry in these extraordinary times.
